This allows you to upgrade the system at any time in case of a failure or replacement. The other purpose of offsite backup is to backup your sensitive data in a remote, secure place.

How Offsite Backup Works
Offsite Backup is a service of ClearSDN. ClearSDN connects with your ClearOS system and backs up the data as specified by the network admin. ClearSDN will compare the current data with the last backup and upload only the data that has changed. This preserves space and keeps bandwidth use at a minimum. ClearSDN Offsite Backup uses military grade encryption to ensure the security of your data.
